Q&A with Carine
Carine Lahoreau has been working with us for more than 20 years. Keep reading to learn about her Radiall journey, values and more!
Q.Give a brief overview of your path at Radiall. What was your first role, and what do you do today?
A.I joined Radiall in 2000 as a R&D project manager for the Multipin BU. I had an internal opportunity to work as a manufacturing shop manager - where I supervised 50 people - and quickly developed my leadership skills. During the last 22 years, I moved from manufacturing to engineering management, then switched to product marketing management. Currently, I am the corporate market manager and aerospace market manager.
Q.What does a typical day look like for you?
A.Every day is different in my role; but, that is what makes the job attractive. I could be in direct contact with sales or customers to share main opportunities and market trends; I might work on improving our marketing skills and best practices with the product marketing managers from BU; or I could be analyzing market data to influence Radiall's strategy.
Q.Which Radiall value resonates with you the most?
A.The Radiall value that represents me the most is " be genuine." In order to be efficient and create meaningful relationships, it's important to fully be ourselves. We must be bold and daring to simplify the lives of our customers and adapt our business to the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) world.
Q.Who or what inspires you in your professional life?
A.For the past 22 years at Radiall, I have been lucky to work with leaders who helped me grow while keeping my personality and expectations in mind. I truly believe that Radiall’s family and culture fosters this amazing corporate kindness.
Q.What is a motto that you like to live by or keep in mind?
A."Wear a smile, one size fits all." I think a positive and welcoming attitude is the basis of any human interaction.
Q.What has been your proudest moment of your career?
A.I could mention the concrete successes or achievements that I was involved in. But when I think deeper about the question, I’m proud that I have had a real impact on Radiall’s transformation and growth over the past 20 years.
Q.What advice would you give your younger self?
A.Believe in yourself and trust your gut feeling.
