Moms at Work

March 2022

Radiall is committed to being a workplace that supports men and women in all stages of life, including parenthood. Finding the right balance as a working parent can be difficult, for moms and dads alike. Since it’s International Women’s Month, we wanted to hear from some of the moms who work at Radiall. We asked a handful of employees a few questions about what it’s like to be a working mom. Keep reading to see what they had to say.

What is the best part of being a working mom?

I love what I do. Being a working mom allows me to fulfill myself as a professional and contribute to the workforce. I am thankful to also have the opportunity to have a family, be a great mom, and inspire my son to fight for his dreams. I hope he sees my example of hard work and perseverance, and that he knows he can always reach his goals if he tries. I also hope that he sees and appreciates the hard work that moms do with so much love. –Elizabeth

Being a working mom allows me to show my three daughters that all challenges can be met and that being a mom doesn't mean you can't grow professionally too. –Aurelie

The pleasure of reuniting with them after school, when they're running to my arms and proudly screaming, “Muummm!” And so begins the second part of my day. –Sabrina

The best part of being a working mom is being a role model for my daughter. I want her to feel empowered to chase her dreams and know that women can have a career and also have a family. –Gillian

I sometimes feel that I have two separate lives, but each helps the other. I've learned how to be structured and organized at home thanks to my job, and not to take things too personally at work thanks to my home. –Celine

Working to give my kids the opportunity to study and show them the wealth of the world. –Catherine

I think my managerial experience, along with everything else I’ve gone through during my career, has made me a better mom and equipped me to help my children flourish in their adult lives. –Emilie

If you could give your child(ren) one piece of advice for their future, what would it be?

Always seek to be a better person, a better son, a better father, and continue to be loving and generous. –Elizabeth

Always believe in your dreams and give yourself the means to achieve them.      –Aurelie

Believe in yourself, because you're extraordinary. –Sabrina

Be confident and humble at the same time. –Gillian

Be who you are, fulfill your dreams and never doubt you're the best.  –Celine

Do what you like! And give yourself the means to reach your dreams.                    –Catherine

Do your best to never regret anything. There are so few people that are thinking about the common good...my biggest challenge as a mom is to prepare my children to face it all. –Emilie

Any other comments on being a working mom?

Being a mother implies a great challenge, whether you work at home or outside of the home, and I admire all of them. But I have special admiration for my co-workers who seek to find the balance between being housewives, mothers, wives and workers every day. It can be very exhausting, but it is satisfying to see that you contribute to providing for your family and raising your children.   –Elizabeth

The most difficult thing when you are a working mum is to find the right balance…but we are all the best mums we can be. –Sabrina

Being a working mom is not an easy task, but it is also really rewarding. –Celine

It's really hard to find the right balance, especially when you do not have any back up. Sometimes I regret not being able to spend more time with my children...and that is why our day-to-day work needs to have meaning. That is why the values of Radiall are so important to me; I hope these values will continue to guide decisions in the coming years. –Emilie
