Marie-Pierre is the Quality Manager at Radiall New Haven.

Q.Can you tell us more about your current role?

A.As a Product Quality Manager, my role is to ensure compliance to AS9100 requirements and adherence to Radiall’s Quality Policy across the processes represented at Radiall New Haven.

Q.What do you like most about your work?

A.Sometimes I compare my work to detective work. I find it very exciting to look for the root cause of a problem. Once we have the explanation of why the problem happened, we have to find solutions in order for this problem not to happen again. This type of activity is actually very important as it helps Radiall grow and get better. As we like to say: there is no quality problem but only opportunities for improvements. This is what I like the most about my work: turning a problem into a positive way to grow; turning a loss into a gain. To me, this represents the true added value of quality.

Q.What is a typical day like for you at Radiall?

A.There is no typical day at Radiall. Making sure everybody is on top of things and properly communicating with each other. Because communication is key!

Q.What do you like most about your job?

A.I am a relationship person. Building trust among the team is something that matters to me. I like to interact with people.

As a French-spoken person working at an American site, I interact a lot with our Mexican sister facility as well as our French sister facilities. I enjoy very much when I can facilitate the communication between sites. Evolving in a multi-cultural environment brings very interesting challenges and is a very enriching experience.

Q.What’s been your proudest moment in your career?

A.One of my proudest moments at Radiall was during our values workshop: one of my team members expressed how appreciative he was to work in such a collaborative way with me, which is exactly what I strive to promote in the team and, of course, across the team.
