Our engineering team thrives on designing custom solutions to meet customer needs. When a customer recently expressed the need for a compact, lightweight solution that could accommodate frequencies up to 6 GHz, our team hit the ground running. Rather than building an entirely new product, they transformed our standard QuickFusio™ connector into a high-density coax solution that accommodates 6 size 16 contacts. After all, simplification is our innovation.
QuickFusio already had the ideal form factor; all it needed was coaxial functionality that could meet the customer’s requested frequency range. Our engineers successfully combined high-density coaxial functionality with the compactness, weight savings and tool-less mating of Radiall's QuickFusio connector series. Tailoring this solution to the customer’s exact specifications allowed the team to design a cost competitive product that checked all of the customer's boxes.
This custom connector is ideal for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market, and it provides customers with up to 6 coaxial-mated connections that are capable of reaching 6 GHz per channel. When designing new solutions or transforming existing ones, one of our goals is to make applications simpler and more effective for our customers. This connector makes UAVs and drones more reliable and secure for the military and defense markets.
