Q&A with Deepak
Deepak is a 3D Application Engineer at Radiall Bangalore.
Q.What is a typical day like for you at Radiall?
A.There is no typical day for me here. There is always something new going on. I usually start each day by checking my inbox and answering emails. I then work on the tasks assigned to me. I have a blank canvas and it’s up to me to decide what I want to create. I have the flexibility of being able to work on a variety of tasks. Every day is full of surprises.
Q.Can you tell us more about your current role?
A.I have been a 3D Application Engineer at Radiall for two and half years now. My current role here is to render out realistic images of our products, make product animation videos, handle requests from Product Managers regarding marketing images, and I’m currently in charge of the Product Finder images on our website. I contribute to a lot of the content creation at Radiall.
Q.What do you like most about your work?
A.I like many things about my work. Here are a few specific things I like most.
Collaborative Environment - I love having a voice, and that my managers and peers listen to my ideas. We work together to make things happen. We support each other, offer creative feedback and make our ideas a reality. I love being appreciated and listened to.
Autonomy - I like the autonomy I have because my managers allow me to innovate; they give me complete and absolute autonomy over my responsibilities. I get to choose and decide...life has never been better!
Variety & Challenging Work - I love the challenge of coming in every day and trying to explore more, learn more and figure out how I am going to get more done. There is so much here for me. I'm like a kid in a candy shop! I like how the product managers believe in me. They push me to pursue projects that I think are beyond my abilities, and I am so grateful for their insistence.
Q.What has been one of your proudest moments during your career?
A. I can’t choose one moment. I have always been a doer. I like doing things, and I love watching them come alive. I like to take the front seat whenever it comes to learning new technologies and bettering myself. I take pride in everything that I do. My employer makes employees feel valued; that is something I’m proud of, and I’m just doing my bit here to contribute to Radiall’s values. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment of seeing your work appreciated and recognized makes all the craziness worth it!
Q.What's the best advice you have for people wanting to pursue a career in your field?
A.To all the people out there seeking success through a predefined path...no such thing exists. There are no shortcuts that can be taken in life. One cannot attain success overnight; you have to learn how to have patience. Persistence is the key here; you need to work hard on improving your skills that stand out. Do what people would pay you for, challenge yourself and never ever stop learning! Always keep that fire inside you burning.
