Showcasing Sustainability in Aviation at Le Bourget
Radiall at Paris Air Show 2023
This month, Radiall returned to the Paris Air Show, showcasing solutions for a more sustainable future in the aerospace market. For the first time since 2019, the entire aerospace industry was able to gather to see new innovations, discuss sustainable trends and meet with colleagues from around the world.
Wherever Sustainability Lives, We’re There.
From June 19 through 25, the industry gathered at Parc des Expositions Paris, Le Bourget, France, for the 54th Paris Air Show. Due to COVID-19, there was no exhibition during 2021, so it’s been four years since the last time the event was held.
Radiall’s team focused on how we can help airframers around the world meet their sustainability goals. From commercial aircraft to satellites to UAM, we have interconnect solutions that power the future of the industry.
We highlighted seven commitments to the industry, showing how we are committed to enabling sustainable transportation and supporting an electric future.
Our exhibition team showcased products that help simplify connections for aviation, mobility and space. From multipin solutions and switches to optical connectors and RF cables, our product experts brought products that can be used in a range of applications to support avionics, EWIS, cockpit applications and more. Some of the solutions on display included:
-
Quick Slim connectors are a quick mating solution for small areas with a high quantity of cables.
-
MPX was developed for harsh environments in response to the market demand for higher bandwidth, density and reliability.
-
Quartz-S is a new electro-mechanical switch for HTS and VHTS satellite payloads and constellations.
-
IMP-SR is a new solution for RF, signal and data rate interconnection that meets the emerging needs of active antennas.
-
Self-Lock Connectors are designed to reduce installation time and provide secure connection for vibrations experienced in aerospace applications.
On Wednesday, Clément Beaune, French minister for transportation, stopped by the booth. Chief Operating Officer Luc Kaës, shown below, looked at products and discussed the solutions Radiall manufactures.
We were also at the Careers Plane, highlighting what a career as a product and process development engineer looks like. An engineer was on site to demonstrate using a 3D printer and discuss the role related to the industrial sector. Learn about this role from Aysel, who works on 3D cable designs to meet customer specifications in her role as a product design engineer.
