Q&A with Jesus

Jesus joined Radiall Obregón in 2018 as a financial controller. Keep reading to learn what Jesus does at Radiall now.

Q.Can you tell us more about your current role?

A.I am currently a Plant Controller. I supervise the Finance, EHS and Building Maintenance departments.

Q.What do you like most about your work?

A.Iike being part of a team committed to quality, improvement and the well-being of our collaborators. Its company culture and interaction with people makes Radiall a great place to work. I also am proud of our commitment to innovation and thinking about what we will leave for future generations.

Q.What is a typical day like for you at Radiall?

A.A typical day starts with reviewing pending issues, meetings with team members and reviewing the previous day's results (KPIs). Additionally, I authorize various requests (DAs, DIs, payments to suppliers, payroll review, etc.). After this, I attend to matters related to our building that facilitates our legal operation in Mexico and various issues such as pending procedures with government offices. At the end of the day, I try to review the projects involving the areas I supervise, and I seek to facilitate those immediate needs and follow up on dates and fulfillments. 

Q.What's the best advice you have for people wanting to pursue a career in your field?

A.First of all, have a clear objective and work for it every day. Contribute, participate and learn from the initiatives of colleagues and those developed by the company. Understand that the sum of positive activities will always generate beneficial results and that there is always an opportunity to improve everything we do. Always challenge yourself to do better. 

Q.What’s been one of the proudest moments in your career?

A.A moment of great pride is having understood why Radiall does what it does. It is not just being part of a supply chain for a certain area, it is realizing that your work is reflected in safety, care and comfort for people. All those actions impact our lives, our families, our communities and the world around us. And we are part of that legacy.
