Guillaume Gattaz started as the Diversification Project Manager in 2021. Learn more about his role at Radiall!

Q.Can you tell us more about your role at Radiall?

A.My role is to make sure we are not missing any verticals and new markets worth investing in.

Q.What does a typical day look like for you?

A.Everyday is totally different, but let’s try:

A typical day at Radiall starts with a coffee on the 7th floor of the Aubervilliers office at around 8:30 am. I then go through emails and continue with the daily meetings and calls according to my agenda. I usually take a lunch break around 1 pm and it’s usually a delicious chicken sandwich from the bakery downstairs. I then continue the meetings and calls until the end of the day, and I always try to have as many face to face meetings as possible.

Q.What do you like most about your work?

A.As the industry is new to me, I am definitely learning new things every day and meeting a lot of very interesting and intelligent colleagues. Also, my role requires me to research new markets such as quantum, energy and medical, which are new and innovative sectors where new things happen every day.

Q.What interests you about diversification?

A.What I find interesting is what it requires to do diversification, which I believe is to think outside the box while not forgetting your “roots.”

Q.How does it feel being a part of the next generation of the family business?

A.Exciting, because I understand now what my grandfather then my father did during the last 70 years. As a family business, I was interested in understanding more the people, products and markets of the company.

Challenging, of course, in a good way!

And quite scary, when you realize how big and international the company is.

I never felt any kind of pressure or specific expectations for the future from the family. I guess my father and family are proud that me and my cousin, Paul, who also joined the company this year, are interested in understanding Radiall.

Q.How have your family values been translated into the culture of Radiall? Which one do you think is the most important to be successful?

A.When I joined the company one year ago, I realized how Radiall people (all of them) were caring and helpful. These are definitely not qualities we find in all companies. Moreover, the long-term vision is key for Radiall projects, and for family businesses in general. I think this is one of the most important values in the culture of Radiall, since it guides people, carriers, projects and customers.

Q.What is a motto that you live by or keep in mind?

A.Always be humble and treat everyone and everything with respect!
