Q&A with Jeff

Jeff has been with Radiall since 2017 and is the Global Account Manager for aerospace customers. Learn more about Jeff’s work at Radiall.

Q.Can you tell us more about your role at Radiall?

A.In my role as Global Account Manager, I am responsible for aligning Radiall’s tactical and strategic support of our customers and their suppliers. It is very much like running a business within a business. I am charged with anything from identifying emerging challenges to developing our future state, 5 to 10 years in the future.

Q.What interested you about the aviation industry and when did this interest begin?

A.I was raised next to an Air Force base so I had constant exposure to airplanes, and as an 80s child, of course Top Gun was and is a favorite movie of mine. The reach, speed and adventure that air travel provides the public is incredible.

Q.What do you like most about your work?

A. I most enjoy working with cross-functional teams at Radiall and building relationships with our customers and partners to help make everyone successful. Of course, walking the production line at Boeing is always a special treat; witnessing the impressive machines as they are built and knowing exactly how Radiall plays a part in that can be inspirational.

Q.What is a typical day like for you at Radiall?

A.My morning routine first involves reviewing any communication from our global partners and team that requires immediate attention. My focus then shifts to regularly scheduled meetings with customers and teammates to advance short, mid and long-term activities. There are always a few surprises in the day and plenty of work to do. There is never a dull moment. Between the emails and calls throughout the day, so many opportunities exist to build interpersonal relationships that I really value.

Q.What’s the best advice you have for someone wanting to pursue a career in your field?

A.The aviation industry has an intensity that is unique to this market and it can be stressful and demanding. Passion for the people, aircraft and technology will carry you through the difficult periods and will make the successes even more meaningful.

Q.What’s been your proudest moment in your career?

A.I would say that I am the most proud of the customer recognition of Radiall and my team; it always brings a tremendous amount of pride. Also, it’s hard to beat being able to see products that we have designed, manufactured and supported installed on magnificent aircraft. That creates an overwhelming sense of pride for me.
