Working at Isle D’Abeau

Over the years, Radiall Isle D’Abeau (IDA) has developed expertise in the development and design of products for the space industry including Microwave and Optical Interconnected Solutions. The IDA facility includes R&D and engineering to support the on-site production teams manufacturing cutting-edge interconnect technologies. Exploring possibilities, simplifying the lives of our customers and shaping the Radiall of tomorrow are at the core of what the Isle D’Abeau site does.

In 2021, Radiall Isle D’Abeau inaugurated its FabLab and Eureka creativity room. These spaces encourage employees to collaborate and allow them to brainstorm together in an environment that supports testing ideas and bringing them to life.

In 2022, Radiall received the Industry of the Future label by the Alliance Industrie du Futur for our goal of simplifying, streamlining and thinking outside the box.

Isle D’Abeau Employee Testimonials

“I have been a Transformation Ambassador at Radiall for a few years now and I can say that it has been a very rewarding experience for me. I really like meeting my colleagues and encouraging them to participate in our various events. I find it very gratifying to be able to share my knowledge and see the interest they have in our activities. It is very nice to see the participants engage in the discussions and to be able to answer their questions.” - Souhila CHEMINET

“At Radiall, we often have moments of flow (when you don't see the time passing). The working atmosphere is important and we feel that all the teams give their all to meet deadlines as best they can. Of course, you always have to keep moments of decompression between colleagues and that's also what makes Radiall's strength: knowing how to laugh as often as possible!

The product remains at the heart of all considerations. The nature, always very technical, constitutes an additional motivation while arousing a keen interest in the market. We feel a real engagement from customers for our products who do not hesitate to rely on our knowledge to help them in the progress of their projects.” - Romain GIROUD

“The initiatives that I like the most on the Radiall site are the Climate Fresk and soon the 2Tonnes workshop. The purpose of these projects is to raise the company's employees' awareness of climate issues and to encourage them to take action to reduce their impact on the environment. I am proud to contribute to projects that have a positive impact on our planet and to work with talented and committed people. I am convinced that this experience will benefit me throughout my professional career.” - Emeline ALDEGUER

Life in Isle D’Abeau

Sports

Sports are an integral part of the city of Lyon, with the football/soccer team Olympique Lyonnais, the rugby team CSBJ and one of the best basketball clubs in France, LDLC ASVEL.

Culture

Crémieu and Pérouges are two medieval villages located in the area of Isère in France. These two villages are known for their historical and architectural heritage. When visiting these two villages, visitors can immerse themselves in the medieval history of the region and see remarkable examples of the architecture and craftsmanship from the time.

Challenge Mobilité (Mobility Challenge)

The Mobility Challenge is an initiative to encourage companies, institutions and organizations to promote more sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transportation. Each year, Mobility Challenge  participants commit to using more environmentally friendly modes of transportation (walking, biking, public transportation or carpooling) for one day. Radiall employees are active participants in this challenge each year, finding creative ways to commute to work.

Food

In the area of Isle D’Abeau, you can try “spécialités du Dauphiné,” which are local specialties and include things such as gratin dauphinois and meals made with walnuts of les noix de Grenoble. Lyon is also recognized as the gastronomic capital of France with famous small restaurants called “bouchons lyonnais” where people enjoy Lyon specialties in a friendly welcoming atmosphere, sometimes even dining on cuisine from famous chefs like Paul Bocuse.

Festival of Lights

If there is one event that really represents the best of Lyon, it is the Festival of Lights (Fête des Lumières)! From the traditional lights that the people of Lyon place on their balconies to the visual and interactive shows that take place in the city, December 8 is a great time to visit Lyon.

The Traboules of Vieux Lyon

The Vieux Lyon district is one of the most magical places in the city of Lyon. With its narrow streets, stone buildings and numerous restaurants and stores, it offers a unique insight into Lyon's history and culture. One of the most remarkable features of Vieux Lyon is its network of traboules. These secret passages are narrow corridors that run through buildings and allow people to move quickly and discreetly through the neighborhood
