Civil Aviation Day 2021

Today is the 28th International Civil Aviation Day. The purpose of this day is to remind the world how important civil aviation is in regards to global development and our everyday lives. Check out these statistics from the United Nations:

• The global Air Transport sector supports 65.5 million jobs and $2.7 trillion in global economic activity.
• Over 10 million women and men work within the industry to ensure 120,000 flights carry 12 million passengers a day safely to their destinations.
• At least 3.6% of global economic activity is supported by the aviation industry, according to research by the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG).

As you can see, civil aviation impacts millions of people around the world, including you. Whether you are an individual working in the industry or traveling by plane, civil aviation should matter to you.
