SMA Connectors dedicated for MRI equipment

RADIALL extends its range of truly non magnetic coaxial connectors with SMA connectors.

These products will interest designers currently working on medical systems based on magnetic resonance imaging, better know as MRI.

The Radiall connectors are the first to meet the non magnetic requirements of RMI system while maintaining the same level of mechanical and electrical integrity found in industry standard coaxial connectors.

The bodies and the center contacts of the connectors are made from materials specially selected for their non magnetic properties.  Manufacturing a Radiall non magnetic connectors involves a special production:

  • allocated premises and tools
  • no contact with ferromagnetic materials during the screww machining and cleaning process

The connector magnetic distortion in the magnetic field is guaranted less than 0.5 ppm at 10 mm distance, between 0.5 and 4 Tesla.

The Radiall non magnetic connector range includes SMA, SMB, MMCX interfaces as well as PCB terminals. Other interfaces can be realized upon request
