The 801 ARINC standard: LuxCis®
The ARINC committee selected the LuxCis® by almost unanimous vote
The Boeing Company chose the LuxCis® Optical Interconnect Solution as the ideal answer to all its in-flight equipment requirements: performance, density, reliability, easiness of mounting and cleaning. The flexibility given by the LuxCis® is also a very important feature since the LuxCis® allows not only interconnection of multimode fiber but also of singlemode fiber in PC and APC styles.
Boeing confirmed its technical choice by supporting the LuxCis® as the 801 ARINC standard. The entire ARINC committee selected the LuxCis® by almost unanimous vote - proof of the technical recognition and the interest that the LuxCis® generated for future aeronautical applications.
The 801 ARINC standard was officially published in January 2006.
