EPXB for galley inserts
RADIALL has recently developed the new connector for galley and galley inserts according to ARINC 810.This connector will be installed in the galley of the two most recent aircraft,the A380, B787
What is a galley?
It is the kitchen on board a commercial plane
What is a galley insert?
It is a catering equipment on board a commercial airplane
But there are a lot of drawbacks:
reducing the ability to upgrade and retrofit in-flight meal service components
restricting an airlines ability to select products from multiple suppliers
driving up industry costs
The solution? ... ARINC 810
The advantages of this new product:
Standard slim line connector with alignement pin for use on all the galley inserts(coffee maker,oven,etc...)
Spring loaded float mount connector with self alignement design
Light weight composite strain relief backshell
The connector can be fitted with a size 8 twinax contact to connect the CAN bus used on "smart" galleys.
Moreover, in order to connect a CAN bus which allows the GAIN to communicate together, a mated of parallel (non concentric) twinax has been developed according to abs1111 and ABS1112 (Airbus specifications)
