Radiall expands its EN4644 EPXB modular interconnect product line
Radiall expands its EN4644 EPXB® modular interconnect product line with an EPXB2 environmental version with a new quick disconnect feature. The quick disconnect EPXB2 connector is custom designed for a specific application. It is suitable for high density rack and panel applications where quick release/disconnect of the two mated connectors is needed. The connector meets the requirements of the aerospace and defense industries. The robust design of this sealed EPXB2 version can withstand the harshest environments and is IP67 rated in mated conditions. It features an innovative locking mechanism enabling the plug and receptacle to be mated by simply applying pressure and rotating the central locking device by a quarter turn. To disconnect, simply pull back the device holding ring located on the plug. It has been designed with an EMI backshell compatible with panel sealed applications. The quick disconnect EPXB2 environmental sealed connector has already been proven in harsh environment conditions in rocket launching pad applications.
