Wi-Max applications: our dedicated Lightning protectors
Wi-Max 802.16 (short for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is the next generation of Wi-Fi 802.11 wireless solution for both urban and rural areas.
Wi-Max will provide signal up to 50km versus below hundred meters for the Wi-Fi. This will be the last-mile broadband access extension to cable and DSL...
This kind of wireless solution will transmit the signal through an outdoor (or indoor) antenna which will be placed high above the floor on the top of a tower or a building to cover a large area:
Prevent your electronic components from the surge or lightning phenomena's!
Even if a connecting rod is in place higher at the top to capture the main lightning path, the electronic will not be safe at all. The strong electromagnetic field generated around the path will bring thousands of volts into the antenna and therefore will destroy the equipment through the coaxial cable.
By using a well-grounded Radiall lightning protector, the high current low frequency generated by the lightning will be shunt to the ground before it can reach the electronic area, so this will save expensive repair cost and avoid any loss of revenue for operators when the network is unavailable.
Features:
- Very low residual voltage: 15 V at 2.5 kA
- Surge current handling capability: 50 000 amp (8/20µs pulse shape)
- High quality surface finishes through BBR plating (copper, tin & zinc base alloy plating)
- IP67 once connected
- 10 year guaranty
- Maintenance free thanks to the quarter wave technology
