TERMINI Contacts
MIL-PRF-29504 standard compliant
Termini optical contacts have been increasingly used over the last few years. There are a number of reasons that explain such growing popularity. Fiber optics has spread through most severe environment applications where high mechanical performance connectors are required. This includes multi-contact connectors that have been widely used to handle fully-optical channels or mix optical and electrical channels while meeting basic connector requirements such as sealing, shock and vibration resilience, etc.
Termini contacts clearly play a major role in all of these applications which usually require minimum footprint.
- Termini contacts can be inserted in 12 and 16 cavity size of multicontact connectors, such as electrical contacts.
- Termini contacts do not require using any specific assembly tool or adjustment parts. Optical ferrules are either in ceramic or metal.
- Termini contacts are connected to the fiber by a simple gluing or polishing operation. In order to avoid constraint on the fiber induced by the rear sealing grommet, Radiall has developed a unique releasing boot holder. The coupling technology is of "physical contact", and typical insertion losses are 0.8dB.
The range includes a wide array of contacts to connect multi-mode fibers up to 1,010µm.
Termini contacts are compatible with the following multi-contact connectors:
Circular connectors:
- MIL-DTL-38999, series 1/3/4
- MIL-C-83723, series 1/3
- MIL-C-83733
- MIL-C-26482, series 2
Rectangular connectors:
- ARINC 404 - DSX
- ARINC 600 - NSX
- HE 510 - EPX
- MIL-C-83527 - MPX
Radiall designs and manufactures custom harnesses using Termini contact and multipin connectors for on-board (aeronautics, navy....) or land (railways) communication systems. For further information, please feel free to contact us.
